About
Why we built a loop, not a scanner
Robot Visible is for founders, operators, agencies, and small teams that want their websites to be easier for people, search engines, and AI tools to find and understand.
Why we built this
People still search on Google, but they also ask AI tools for recommendations. If those tools cannot read or understand your website, they are less likely to include it in an answer.
We kept seeing useful websites with too few supporting pages, missing structured data, weak proof, and vague copy. Robot Visible shows what its scanner received and what named-bot policy permits, turns the issues into prioritised fixes, and tracks whether the work made a difference.
Who writes this
Marcus Bransbury
Founder, Robot Visible
Marcus builds Robot Visible and writes everything published under the guides, comparisons, and pricing research on this site. Vendor prices are checked against each company’s own pricing page and dated, competitors are described in their own terms, and corrections are made in public when a figure turns out to be wrong.
What we believe
A score is not evidence
A site can pass every technical check and still be absent from every answer. Readiness tells you a crawler can read the page; only asking an answer engine tells you whether it recommends you. We report the two separately and never let one stand in for the other.
Monitoring stops one step short
Knowing you are missing from an answer is the start of the work, not the end of it. The useful next question is which page won it instead and what that page says that yours does not, so we keep the answer, its sources, and the comparison rather than reducing them to a number.
A change is only worth what you can prove
Publishing proves a change is live. Whether it moved anything needs the same question asked again, of the same provider, on the same surface, with the interval stated. We record flat and declined results the same way we record improvements.
How we think about it
Our scoring follows the public guidance that search engines and AI providers themselves publish about how content is crawled, understood, and surfaced, for example Google Search Central and Schema.org for structured data. We do not promise rankings or citations, because no honest tool can. We show the practical issues that may make a website harder to discover and help you decide what to fix first.
